Under Instance Set-up you can configure key areas that will dictate how users interact with your instance and how you can track their activity.
Mandatory Legal Links
Before running your first public auction you must upload links to your Terms & Conditions of Sale - where you set out your legal position with your bidders and buyers - and your Privacy Policy.
To upload respective document links click on the [Edit] button then enter the 'URL' document location. Click [Submit] to apply changes.
Links to your Terms & Conditions & Privacy Policy will be published:
Note : Bidders are prompted to accept your Terms & Conditions before they are able to bid in an auction. They will be prompted once for each auction.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Metadata
Meta tags are snippets of code that tell search engines important information about your web page, such as how they should display it in search results. They also tell web browsers how to display it to visitors. Every web page has meta tags, but they're only visible in the HTML code.
In line with your digital SEO strategy for your main website, we recommend updating these tags to promote your business and tell search engines about it ie. 'Your Company Name | Fine Art Auctions'. Ultimately good SEO can influence click-through rates however this section isn't mandatory.

Menu Navigation Links
The Menu Navigation Links allows you to add Menu Links to the header menu and/or the footer menu of your instance. These can mirror the menu links on your existing website for a more seamless integration of the iRostrum instance into your website. We also recommend you add an 'Auctions' link to your website menu to link to your iRostrum instance.
To add a menu link click on [Add Link] under either the Header or Footer tab.
The Title field sets the link text as it appears in the Header or Footer menu.
The URL field should link to a location on your own website (or as required) where you want the link to navigate to.
Click on [Add Link] to apply the change.
You can easily change the order by dragging and dropping into the required position.
The footer & header menu links added will then appear as shown on your iRostrum instance.
Common social media links in the footer will automatically appear as icons in your primary instance coloour.
Analytics & Insights
iRostrum is configured to allow user journey tracking with Google Analytics.
To enable this feature and get visibility from within your own Google Analytics account simply enter your Google Analytics tracking ID (Universal or GA4 Measurement ID accepted).
Click on [Submit] to apply the change.
